- Humanity. We see the person before their role, profession, origin, age, body, belief, opinion or mistake.
- Kindness is action. We notice who needs help and act without a stage, photograph, applause or debt.
- Freedom. Everyone has the right to choose, to keep personal space and to say no without explanation.
- Consent is alive. We ask clearly; it is specific to the moment and may be withdrawn at any time.
- Awareness. We notice the trace of our words and take responsibility for impact, not only intention.
- Difference is not a threat. Disagreement never permits humiliation, discrimination, ridicule or pressure.
- We speak for ourselves. We share what we feel, think and need without diagnosing another person.
- We protect what is entrusted. Stories, photographs and vulnerable moments remain private without explicit permission.
- Conflict is faced. We pause, listen and seek a solution that protects dignity and safety.
- No tolerance for violence. Aggression, threats, stalking, manipulation and humiliation end participation.
- Everyone carries a share. We cook, clean, carry wood and care for common spaces; when one task is impossible, we find another honest contribution.
- We do not fix without invitation. We listen without turning another person’s pain into a project, advice or a stage.
- Nature is not scenery. We protect the forest, fire, water, animals and silence and leave the place cleaner.
- Resources are shared. We take with measure, return with care and do not leave unpleasant work to an invisible person.
- Help does not buy power. A good deed never entitles us to control, closeness, recognition or repayment.
- Truth does not humiliate. We can be honest and clear without being cruel.
- A mistake requires repair. We acknowledge, apologise, restore what we can and change our behaviour.
- Nobody is an audience. Everyone comes not only to receive but to leave work, talent, knowledge or kindness.
- The next person matters. We leave food, a message, an ordered space and a trace of care for someone we have not met.
- Belonging continues. The acorn we carry after the retreat reminds us to bring Humanity, Freedom and Awareness into life beyond JIV.
