I bought a place. What I truly took on was a promise.
When I first saw this old mountain base, I did not see property. I saw a home waiting to be filled with human voices again. I bought it to create a Home of Goodness—a community where kindness is made visible through hands, time and presence.
I did not want another beautiful hotel where people arrive as customers and leave as strangers. I wanted a place where we cook dinner together, put our phones away, repair what is broken and listen long enough for another person’s story to matter.
Why JIV
Because many of us function efficiently while feeling less and less alive. JIV is a pause long enough for curiosity, laughter, courage and human attention to return.
The place will never be finished without its people
Every group leaves something behind: a tree, a repaired bench, a book, a recipe, an object in the Museum of a Past Life or an act of kindness that asked for no applause.
My dream is not to fill a calendar. It is to kindle a place people return to because it reminded them who they can be.
